Karan Shinde

Expert in aging biology and lifestyle optimization

Karan Shinde is the Co-Head of Applied Science and Program Development, with a passion for aging biology and lifestyle optimization. Holding a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary, Karan’s expertise spans bioanalytical chemistry, precision medicine, and data analytics. Karan developed his passion for research in his teenage years when he was enrolled as a participant for a variety of research studies at the Alberta Children’s hospital. After drawing inspiration during these early experiences, he became a research assistant at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, where he was a part of the perinatal stroke and hemiparetic cerebral palsy research initiative.

Karan currently plays a pivotal role at XONE precision medicine, identifying new science-based protocols to help develop and improve patient care strategies. In this capacity, he ensures that the clinic stays abreast of all relevant leading-edge research, identifying new studies that have the potential to drive significant change. Karan continuously works to expand his knowledge of diagnostic protocols, disease prognosis, and optimal intervention strategies.

Outside of his professional life, Karan loves to cook, play music, and exercise. He is also an avid outdoors enthusiast, enjoying activities such as camping, skiing, and playing with his dog.
